Before I could tell her what an idiot she was being, I was interrupted: “Oh, and it has to be vegan!” Ever the enthusiastic jab- and active ingredient-addicted beauty editor, I was stumped. Confessing that while she’d never felt better (or fit into her jeans better)  since going plant-based, she said her skin just wasn’t bouncing back like it used to. Despite chalking it up to age and the (vegan)  wine we sipped on the night before, it seems there might be more to it – her sudden skin woes may well be an unwelcome side effect of becoming one of the 2.1 million Australians who have ditched meat, and more.
