The Secret To Success: A Work Wifey
Cosmopolitan Sri Lanka
|June 2019
Aish, 27, is having a stressful day at work and nothing seems to be working out. Noticing her plight, Sasha, 28 intervenes. “Come on! You need a break.
Let’s go have ice-cream—my treat!” Grudgingly, Aish agrees and proceeds to vent about work throughout their 5-minute walk to the parlor, while eating their ice-cream and all the way back to the office.
Sasha patiently listened to it all, knowing very well what her friend needed was to blow off a little steam. Sasha is someone you call a “work wife” (or husband). She (or he) is someone at work who takes the place of your at-home partner/ bff while in the office. It’s a completely platonic relationship!
Whether you’re sitting through long meetings or working late to meet deadlines, with your work wife by your side, you can power through any weekday. In all likelihood, this platonic office matrimony will eventually spark success in your professional life. Everyone needs someone like Sasha regardless of what their relationship is like with their job. Not convinced? Here are a few more reasons to hop on this bandwagon.
SHE LISTENS TO YOUR RAMBLE
