But if you have something serious, like legit social anxiety, then that ’s a different story. However, the remedy for this is , well , to actually go out, mix with people, and not flake. “With cognitive behavioral therapy I treat patients with social anxiety techniques to deal with negative thoughts. I actually encourage them to go out and be with people even though it ’s socially threatening to them. I need them to mix with people and meet new ones to overcome this,” says Ms R. R.
