Panasonic GH5

The Panasonic GH5 was a long-awaited camera after the success of GH4. The GH5 just picks it up where the GH4 left off. For a mirrorless camera, most of the times, the expectations are usually not high as they are from DSLRs, but the GH5 makes its intentions clear by putting forward a host of features and some incredible performance out of the camera to settle any doubts one might have for the camera. Panasonic has created the GH5 for all types of use, but the film and video features sets it apart from any other camera available in the market right now. The GH5 was overwhelmingly received by filmmakers and videographers all over the world. We put it through the paces to see how it performed.

LOOK BODY AND FEEL

The Panasonic GH5 is not very much different from its elder sibling, but there are a considerable amount of changes that have happened over and under the surface which allows the GH5 to back all the claims made. The GH5 is a micro four-thirds sensor mirrorless camera system but it looks and feels like a entry level DSLR. Do not go on its size, as the GH5 is packed with features that take it way ahead of the league. The button layout is now more comfortable and a few buttons have been re-placed to make the accessibility better. There are not one or two but five customisable function buttons which can be programmed to perform any tasks or as shortcut buttons. A new multi-selector joystick has been added along with the control wheels. The joystick becomes handy while changing focus points or while scrolling through the menu. The GH5 looks and feels very ergonomically designed and you will immediately feel the ease when you hand hold the camera. The GH5 missed out on the built-in pop-up flash but has a new â€‹placement for the built-in microphone and speakers for capturing better audio from the built-in microphone.
