1 Remove the lid and label from a ring-pull tin and then wash thoroughly and allow to dry. Turn the can upside down and then carefully use a hammer and screwdriver to pierce a few holes into the base of the tin for drainage. Prepare your work surface for painting.
2 First, paint the tin in a base coat of white 2 3 the colour of your choice. Move your paintbrush in the direction of the grooves to give even coverage. Set aside to dry.
