Luxe Living

Doing up a home is a task that can often be daunting. Well after all striking the fine balance between practicality and aesthetics can be like walking on a tight rope. This Mumbai based home, however has achieved that thanks to Interior Designer, Jesal Lodha who has managed to convert a house to a home.

With a built-up area of 3,200 sq. ft., this four BHK apartment is located on the higher floors in one of the premium luxury residential developments in central Mumbai. The designer was given a simple brief to design this home – ‘modern luxury living’.

This home belongs to a family of three that includes a couple and their 25-year-old son.

The interiors of this space is characterized by simple lines, detailed furniture pieces, monotone colours with accompanying accents, and material and accessory details that make a design statement. The apartment features a long deck that wraps around the apartment. “Here, we treated the decks as extra living spaces with seating designed for unwinding and relaxing,” says Jesal. There are several lighting elements used in this home. The ceiling here is kept crisp with cove lights creating dramatic highlights. The deep recessed LED fixtures create a different ambience for the residents, as per the requirement of effectively using the space.
