It was while travelling in Europe that Johannes le Roux recognised the massive trend towards lower alcohol consumption. Realising how few options there were on the SA market, he set out to create an elegant premium product, free of sugar and alcohol. Round about the same time, gin was becoming a ‘thing’ worldwide, and this prompted Johannes to merge the two trends. Enter The Duchess, a beautifully crafted, sophisticated and refreshing drink.
