THE PROPERTY

This lavish house is home to a traditional business family of six, with a modern outlook. It is a four-bedroom penthouse, on the seventh floor of a privately owned building in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The home interiors cover 12,500 sq ft, and the terrace is an additional 7,500 sq ft.

CASUAL SIT-OUT

Part of the entry foyer, next to the elevator exit, this seating area is a precursor to the main drawing-room. It is the perfect place for a quick tête-à-tête, dropping off the shopping, or just plain waiting for...not playing second fiddle to any of the other areas, it boasts veneer panelled walls, plush rugs, sink-in sofas, and ample daylight from large windows. It sits opposite a small water body highlighted by a low-slung chandelier.

ENTRANCE LOBBY

The lift and staircase entrance lobby sets a template for the rest of the home, which is uber-opulent. Materials such as high-polish marble and metal, is offset by luxe fabrics like suede, in both earth and jewel tones. To create one-of-a-kind interiors, all furnishings and decor items have either been customised, or imported from across the world.
