Ravi Vazirani suffuses modish and understated glamour into the design narrative of this Mumbai abode

Layered Allure
A blush hue is seen across the formal areas of this home, which is styled by Samir Wadekar for the photoshoot. In the living room, set against an Asian Paints wallpaper are customized velvet sofas in the same shade that are made by Colonial Collections. Nearby are a coffee table from Mahendra Doshi Antiques, Paul Matter pendant lights and a custom sand-cast aluminum table by Ravi Vazirani Design Studio (RVDS)

Clean lines, executed in layers with luxurious finishes is the design hallmark of award-winning interior designer Ravi Vazirani. So, it comes as no surprise that this 2,500 sq ft apartment in Mumbai ticks all the design boxes that we’ve come to expect from Ravi Vazirani and his namesake design studio. The starting point, the designer says, was to “realign the space and carve a home that flows well”. Ravi’s belief that it’s important not just to create beautiful spaces but to also manifest a residence where a client can feel at home in their lifestyle, led to the conceptualization of plush interiors that are replete with detailing and layered with a luxurious yet restrained material palette.

ARROW RETRIEVER

I am an arrow retriever. After a batrows are costly and time-consuming to make. It seems like a terrible waste-and maybe even a sin―for an arrow to fall to the ground without hitting someone. Even if the arrow kills somebody, it can be reused to kill someone else. As Randolf the Scot famously said, \"Arrows don't grow on trees.\"
