Vibrant Sanctuary
Ireland's Homes Interiors & Living Magazine
|March 2019
When the owner of this Dublin apartment saw the sky, sun and view from the roof garden, she fell in love with the property and has since transformed it into a large modern interior space, with vibrant colour and light.
-
When the artist owner of this penthouse apartment in Dublin bought it as a shell, all of its walls were white. But her sense of colour meant it did not stay that way for long, which is something that greets you right from the front door where the hall is in an infinite slate grey, known as Dark Lead by Little Greene, that acts as a great backdrop to paintings on the wall and a white hall table. The deep calm continues into the neighbouring main bedroom, where walls are in Dark Lead and a complementary pale grey, while in the second bedroom beside it there is a calming but joyful deep blue, known as Juniper, also by Little Greene.

Both bedrooms have huge glass windows, draped with white curtains, that take up most of the outside walls, which allows for an the immense amount of natural light continues into the living area. The living room is situated at the end of the hall, where a spectacular glass room shoots out across a roof garden facing Dublin city centre in the distance, with the mountains beyond creating a backdrop.
