Katy and Jim Donaldson had a wealth of reasons to buy a home in Italy. The couple had spent years travelling the world for work and craved a remote haven to share with their children, Tom, now 18, and Daisy, 15. ‘Italy was a natural choice, as I used to visit my grandparents there and I speak the language,’ says Katy. ‘Plus, Jim and I love the food and culture.’
