Clearly there is huge value, both human and financial, in bringing new technology to the healthcare market. 1. Big data: The large data sets that are too complex to be handled by existing infrastructure, big data is among the top elements that pushes for cloud adoption for healthcare IT. Hospitals and medical facilities handle a vast amount of information on a daily basis, such as electronic medical records, laboratory reports and radiology images that require significant computing power and IT bandwidth. Moving to a cloud infrastructure allows the healthcare sector to utilise big data in the cloud where it can be properly and efficiently managed.
