Sam

SUNRISE IS A TERRIFIC SHOW and breakfast TV seems to be where it’s at. I wouldn’t say I’ll be doing it forever – getting up at 3am is hard. But I really thrive in this environment, and I’m thoroughly enjoying what I have.

IT'S BEEN A ROUGH COUPLE OF YEARS (with gossip columnists commenting on her style and body size). But you learn a lot about yourself when things are difficult. I do have my doubting and tearful moments, but I’m a resilient person and I’ve become a lot more mentally strong through this job. And ultimately I think, how dare someone judge me on what I look like or what underwear I wear. I’m a journalist, I’m doing my job to the best of my ability, and I never said I was a model. I have a very typical female figure and I’m sick of having to defend that. Judge me on my performance – I will wear that.
