As women we often put our own health needs at the bottom of the pile, prioritising our family members first. But it is something we need to focus on because research has shown that we’re not nearly as healthy as we should be. The National Women’s Health Report, conducted by Priceline, revealed that 82 percent of women report low fruit and vegetable intake; 51 percent of women report a BMI of 25 or above (overweight, obese or extreme obesity); and 33 percent of women report frequent anxiety. It also showed that the majority of women do not know their cholesterol and blood glucose measures.
