ONE TO TRY Tomato ‘Yellow Mimi'

A lover of cherry tomatoes, KG's Tony Flanagan assesses whether this new yellow variety matches up to some of the others he has grown

There is an excellent range of cherry tomato varieties available these days and although we all may have our favorites, like the very popular ‘Sungold’, for example, with all its lovely sweetness, or the dark red, juicy ‘Rosella’, it’s always fun to try something new. So last year I grew ‘Yellow Mimi F1’, a new variety that became available in 2020. The key questions when trying out a new crop are: how well do the seeds germinate, how well does it grow, how well does it produce, and, last but not least, what does it taste like? The KG team decided to find out.
