Heres how MithiBrar paved the way of converting her passion into her profession and her dreams into a reality.

Harriet Tubman once said, “Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world” and the story of Mithi Brar stands testament to the same.

Born and brought up in the City Beautiful, Mithi Brar is a lawyer by profession but creativity has always been her first love. Ever since childhood, she has had a passion for sketching. The journey which started with putting up many art exhibitions eventually led her towards accomplishing her dream of starting her own fashion label. ‘Aalna’ and ever since then, there has been no turning back.

The dream which Mithi saw about a decade ago, is today the illustrious tale of passion, perseverance and success.

When did it click that this was the right profession for you? Describe the dynamics of your career so far?

My dad wanted me to become a lawyer but I wanted to do something that would speak of my work and creativity. Although I never studied in a fashion school but, I always dreamt of doing something of my own. So, in 2008 I started up with my own label called 'Aalna' which in Punjabi means a birds nest.
