Creative collaborations with her Instagram followers helped shape Simone Haag’s dreamy beach shack.

A vintage tribal mirror, X-marks-the-spot flag, fashion photograph and found treasures are artfully arranged on the walls of this beach shack, like a trail for curious eyes. “It’s a French hang of goodness,” owner Simone Haag says wryly.

The Melbourne stylist and designer has fashioned each space in the little holiday home, which she shares with her husband Rhys and daughters Goldie and Clover, with attention to discovery and delight. The objects that rotate through are a mix of high design and bargain finds, and they all comply to one simple rule: she has to love them.
