The relationship between royalty and Rajasthan goes back in time. And as we crisscross the dunes of Bikaner, we are set to witness a vibrant take on this analogy. Standing tall and upfront is a massive redsandstone structure that speaks volumes about its trappings. Wearing an eclectic mix of Rajput, Mughal, and European elements, the Indo-Saracenic Lallgarh palace is now home to Princess Siddhi Kumari who lives with her mother, Padma Kumari and grandmother, Sushila Kumari. Clad in a salwar kameez, the princess has a warm demeanour. Besides setting up the Prachina Bikaner Cultural Centre and Museum, which houses royal textiles, accessories, and a peek into the family legacy through portraits, Siddhi is an MLA from Bikaner East.
