Q I’m in my early 30s and have had an intermittent blocked left nostril accompanied by sinus pain – usually when I wake up. I’ve also noticed a bulging vein running down the middle of my forehead. What could the cause of the vein be, and could these two symptoms be related?
E.D., NSW. The bulging vein is not likely to be of any concern. Because the pain in your left sinus region has been a problem for some time, you need to see your GP for an examination and possibly a CT scan of your sinuses. You may then be referred to an ear, nose and throat specialist.
