Pleasing critics while annoying a good many die-hard fans, The Last Jedi has proved the most divisive movie in the Star Wars canon. Where JJ Abrams’ series reboot The Force Awakens pushed all the right nostalgia buttons, new director Rian Johnson’s film rubbed umpteen people up the wrong way. Did the carpers have a point?
