Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Cinema’s legendary fire-breathing giant reptile goes on the rampage again in this sequel to Hollywood’s 2014 Godzilla reboot, and this time he’s joined by a batch of other monsters from Japanese studio Toho’s film series, including giant moth Mothra, prehistoric Pteranodon Rodan and alien three-headed dragon Ghidora.

Inevitably, the film’s human characters get dwarfed, although it is Vera Farmiga’s renegade scientist Dr Emma Russell who sets the plot rolling by joining forces with Charles Dance’s eco-terrorist in a bid to revive Ghidorah from hibernation beneath the Antarctic.
