Cheetahs might be the fastest land mammal in the world, but they’re also racing towards extinction, with just 7,000 left in the wild, as Gordon Buchanan discovers in his new BBC2 series.

The two-parter sees the wildlife film-maker in South Africa’s Kalahari Desert as he tracks cheetah mother Savannah and her four six-month-old cubs on foot, while also camping out at night.
