AS Caroline Kennedy’s 31-year marriage crashes, JFK’s beloved daughter has been spotted walking New York City’s mean streets looking like a dazed bag lady — and friends fear she’s suffered a mental crack-up, say family insiders.

Close pals are shocked by the 59-year-old’s appearance, noting she appears to have dropped more than 20 pounds since returning to America after serving as President Barack Obama’s ambassador to Japan for three years.

“Caroline is a very wealthy woman, but she looks like the homeless women you see on the street pushing grocery carts full of junk,” says a source.

“Her hair’s a mess, her cheeks are shriveled and she seems to be wasting away.”

Alarmingly, friends claim Caroline says she’s also guided by voices of her brother John Jr., who died at 38 in a 1999 plane crash, and her uncle Bobby, who was assassinated in 1968, says a source.

While some insiders say she’s hearing voices, others aren’t taking her literally — but worried loved ones fear she may need intervention to prevent further deterioration.
