Aru Verma's Promising Act!

Aru Verma is a promising actor and has been in the industry for past 10 years. His acting career started with Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar moving on to doing other commercial films like Love Express, Jo Dooba So Paar, Myoho, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Two States, Karle Pyar Karle, Bezubaan Ishq,Wedding Pulav, Befikre and Jab Harry Met Sejal. We meet the cherubic but appealing actor for a candid chat over coffee.

So tell us how did it all start for you?

No one from my family has ever thought about making acting as a full time career but I was always in my cultural activities in school and college but never gathered courage to tell my plans to my parents and so I took up studies but my heart wasn’t in it and I joined Arvind Gaur’s theater group from where actors like Manoj Bajpayee and Kangana Ranaut have emerged and my mother first saw my affinity for acting and so my father in a man to man talk asked me what I wanted to do and I told him that I wanted to be an actor and so I came down to Mumbai and then there was a struggle for auditions and then I did commercials and a web series called Fatty and I was noticed and Rockstar got me recognition and Befikre and Jab Harry Met Sejal were some of my promising performances.
