IT COULD be the funniest conversation you’ll ever have – or the most awkward one. No matter how you look at it, sex-related talks can’t be avoided. Body odor, preferences, contraceptives, past lovers and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are just a few of the things you need to discuss – and while the conversation may take you out of your comfort zone, these issues have to be addressed.

Whether you’ve been seeing each for a few months or years, there’s no formula for the sex talk – but there are ways to make it easier.

Communication is necessary throughout a relationship, the American Sexual Health Association says.

“No matter how long you and your partner have been together, you’ll need to keep communicating about your sexual expectations, desires, and needs, as you’ll both change and grow over the course of the relationship.
