|April 2020
This award-winning company is internationally known and one of the founding Fairtrade brands. It is proud to be the only UK tea company producing tea in Dorset
-

There are few Dorset residents and visitors that won’t be familiar with natural, fair and delicious tea brand, Clipper Teas. Not only is the tea gloriously rich and flavoursome, but the brand’s central ethos revolves around making every cup count. Clipper has been making its delicious blends in Beaminster for over 35 years - locally blending and packaging 240 different types of tea right here in Dorset.
FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
In 1984, a tea-obsessed husband and wife team created Clipper Teas in their Dorset kitchen. The couple were passionate about good quality tea and ethical sourcing. And Clipper has stayed true to its origins ever since. Now owned by pioneering natural food company, Wessanen UK, Clipper employs over 150 people locally contributing to the local economy and rural infrastructure.
As the only UK tea brand to produce tea in Dorset, the county remains at the heart of the brand. It’s also a local tea company with an international reach, Clipper’s teas are exported to over 50 countries worldwide.
