The Musée Granet in Aix-en-Provence in southern France, is renown for its collection of paintings from masters such as Cézanne, Ingres and Van Gogh, and is named after the French painter François-Marius Granet, one of the museum’s major benefactors.

Pharaoh, Osiris and the Mummy

Photographer Alain Guilleux presents highlights of the new exhibition at the Musée Granet in Aix-en-Provence, France.

But the museum is also home to a substantial number of ancient Egyptian artefacts, and the entire collection is now on display as part of a new exhibition, Pharaoh, Osiris and the Mummy, supplemented by around fifty objects from the collections of the Louvre and other museums.
