Navya Singh likes to call herself an environmentalist. Now eight years old, she, with the help of her father, saved a 30-year-old children’s park that was about to be demolished and replaced with a community center in her neighborhood in Rohini, New Delhi.

Navya and her friends would regularly play in a park in their neighborhood. One day, when she went there with her father, she saw the ground was being dug up. Looking at the huge machines and construction workers, she asked her father about what was going to happen to her park.
