Here are simple yet heartwarming Christmas traditions that your kids will look forward to all year long.

Pep Up For Santa

HE LOOKS like a jolly old man with a booming laughter that goes Ho Ho Ho, but don’t underestimate the power of Santa Claus. Come October, my son and his cousins fight lesser, their rooms are kept relatively cleaner, and even meals, including greens, are finished without much fuss. Christmas is around the corner and one needs to stay on the ‘good child’ list. While the temptation of gifts ensures impeccable behaviour for a few months, there is an inherent problem with this strategy. For my son and a lot of children his age, Christmas has become synonymous with gifts. And only gifts. But there’s so much more to this festival, even for the not-so-devout. Here are my two-bits on how you can share and spread the Christmas cheer with your little ones.

learn christmas carols

Personally, this has always been one of my favourite things about Xmas, and now my son is learning to love it too. From teaching toddlers how to count with 12 Days Of Christmas, and going back to the night Jesus Christ was born with ‘We 3 Kings,’ to discovering an important life lesson that it is okay to be different like the good old Rudolph the Reindeer, Christmas carols are a free and easy way to fill your house with music, cheer and lots of stories.
