Just hours earlier, Jason Knauf, 37, the couple’s former communications secretary, delivered a bombshell statement to the British Court of Appeal in support of Associated Newspapers, whom Meghan, 40, successfully sued back in February after they published a letter she had sent her dad Thomas Markle, 77. The trusted royal aide provided email and text exchanges with the Sussexes, which proved their involvement with the 2020 biography Finding Freedom – even though they had previously denied any association with it.
