Felicity & Lori - Why They Did It

Hollywood is rocked by the Varsity Blues cheating scandal, and now implicated stars Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin could face prison time.

By all accounts, Felicity Huffman took her daughters’ education seriously. The Emmy-winning former star of Desperate Housewives asked fans for advice on Twitter (“Does anyone have any back-to-school hacks?” she queried in 2016); toured colleges, including California’s Chapman University, with her oldest, Sofia, 18; and allegedly became intimately involved in Sofia and 17-year-old Georgia’s standardized testing.

Perhaps too intimately involved. Back in 2017, she apparently paid $15,000 to ensure that Sofia could take the SAT at a private testing center, where a proctor who was in on the scheme could help boost her score. At the time, Sofia’s L.A.-area school bristled at the idea, and expressed the desire to use their own proctor. According to court documents, Felicity’s alleged response, immortalized in an email to an accomplice? “Ruh Ro!”
