It can only be heartbreak that leads a girl to leave her family, friends and the place she loves most. Zekhethelo (Nyalleng Thibedi) has been forced into drugs, being homeless, going into sex work, and experienced the public humiliation that came with it all – but none of these prompted her to want to pack her bags and leave KwaMashu for good. That is until she fell in love, was promised a romantic forever after by man of God Pastor Gwala (Menzi Biyela), and was left at the altar for all to witness…

When Gwala realises that Zekhethelo is broken, he begs her for a second chance. “Pastor Gwala is badly affected by how everything has gone down between him and Zekhethelo. She means a lot to him, she understood him better than anyone else. She was his compass in this world of sin,” says Menzi.
