Sun, beaches, beautiful people and a getaway paradise. Those are all the things usually associated with the tropical island of Hawaii, but in action series Hawaii Five-0 (2010-2020), we see the grime and darker side of the islands as well. Tasked with keeping crime away from the beaches, the Five-0 team are going into season 5 with a whole new set of problems – starting with the two leads officers.

Commander Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin, Kevin Hiatt in crime series The Shield, 2007) and his wise-cracking, partner bestie Detective Danny Williams (Scott Caan, Scott Lavin in biographical comedy series Entourage, 2004-2011) are in couples therapy. “They’ve gone through some tough times recently and they aren’t seeing eye-to-eye,” says Alex. “They need to be on the same page as it could mean the difference between life and death in their business.” And their task force colleagues are going to need the pair more than ever this season.
