Reese & Jim: DIVORCE SHOCKER!

WHEN Reese Witherspoon started dating Jim Toth back in 2010, she was immediately taken with the handsome Hollywood agent’s kind nature and aversion to the spotlight. “Reese found it a huge plus that Jim wasn’t some big-time A-lister who’d hog all the attention,” says an insider of the Loyola Marymount University L.A. grad, who had swooped in to save her from a boorish drunk guy who was hitting on her at a party. “Unlike her fellow actors, Jim had an understated vibe.”

Over time, though, it seems the very qualities that initially drew the Oscar-winning actress to the behind-the-scenes power player may be driving them apart. “It became more of an issue as Jim became less and less enamored with Reese’s lifestyle,” says the insider. “She loves all the glitz and the glamour, while Jim is more of an under-the-radar type of guy.” Now, the insider says Reese, 44, and 50-year-old Jim are headed for divorce after 10 years of marriage. “Reese has tried to make the most of things and work through the tough times with Jim,” the insider says of the mom of three (she shares Ava, 21, and Deacon, 17 with ex Ryan Phillippe and she and Jim welcomed son Tennessee in 2012). “But there’s a lot of noise in their worlds about a split coming.”
