Just 13 days after giving birth to her second child, sources say, the country music queen is ready to call it quits on her long-troubled marriage.

The birth of a baby is supposed to be a happy occasion, and Carrie Underwood did her best to sound overjoyed when she announced the arrival of her second son with her husband, Mike Fisher, on Instagram on Jan. 23. Looking weary in a picture showing her cradling her newborn, Jacob Bryan, the pop country superstar gushed that she, Mike and their almost-4-year-old, Isaiah, were over the moon. “Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed,” she wrote. “Life is good.”

Those close to Carrie, however, detected more than a trace of melancholy between the lines. Now Star has learned that behind the scenes, the “Love Wins” songstress has tearfully confided to a friend that after almost nine years of marriage, she’s ready to divorce her husband — just two weeks after giving birth!

“Even when things got really bad with Mike, Carrie’s never been a quitter, so it wasn’t easy for her to come out and admit it,” an insider dishes. “But she insisted that she needs her space, even if it means raising their two children alone!”
