Before the festivities commence, Nick stands alone and surveys his accomplishment. “The new office set is impressive,” says Executive Producer/Head Writer Mal Young. “We needed it to look like the next generation because this is really a whole new stage for Nick to play on and he’s the center of all of that. He’s proud that he’s done this on his own, without his dad’s help, even though he has the Newman name. Still, he feels this is him finally breaking free, so we’re building him up — until we hit him hard.”
