Is the cure for cancer just around the corner?

CANCER is a disease that currently devastates humanity, killing roughly 8.5-million people a year and affecting another 6-million. This year about 564 800 people are expected to die of cancer, more than 1500 people a day, in the USA alone. Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the West, exceeded only by heart disease, and one of every four deaths among developed Western countries is from cancer, which is a disease that currently devastates humanity, killing roughly 8.5-million people a year and affecting another 6-million.
