Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are rarely seen together these days. So when the couple were spotted taking their two young daughters to the park for a family day out on May 18, fans expected to see a display of affection akin to what we used to see in their early dating days. But that was far from the case.

‘[There’s] something weird about these two. I understand privacy, but they are rarely seen together,’ a fan noted after the pair were spotted together with their little girls for the very first time – an entire year after their youngest, Amada, was born. ‘Somehow, they don’t look happy,’ remarked another.

It was a fair assessment. Unlike most couples who take their little ones to the park, 36-year-old Ryan and Eva, 43, appeared cold, tense and distant – a far cry from the affectionate duo they once were, all but confirming recent reports that their six-year romance is in a bad way.

‘They’re past the point of caring now,’ a long-time friend reveals of the unhappy couple. ‘The biggest sign that it’s over is the fact that Eva and Ryan don’t even bother to argue anymore. The only thing they agree on is the fact that none of their needs are being met.’
