FYI: Lizzo has been releasing music since 2013, but now (ahem, finally!) the world has zeroed in on the brilliance of the single-named singer’s star wattage. ‘This year has been incredible,’ she says. ‘Ever since Juice dropped in January, it’s just been juicy as f---.’

Did we mention Lizzo tells it like it is?! Indeed, 2019 has been very good to the singer, awakening a groundswell of devout fans (her ‘Lizzbians’) who worship her sharp lyrics as much as her empowering attitude.

Now the superstar, 31, has snagged an Absolut Juice partnership and is taking her chart-topping album Cuz I Love You on a sold-out tour, including coming to Oz in January as part of FOMO Festival. (She also wowed at the VMAs and has a role in JLo’s upcoming Hustlers movie.) Here, the singer serves OK! some of her deliciously juicy candour…

Lizzo’s next move? She’s making her movie debut in Hustlers, alongside Lili Reinhart, JLo, Keke Palmer, and Constance Wu. Lizzo says her character Liz in the sexy stripper flick is super-close to home. ‘She’s the loud one,’ Lizzo reveals. ‘She can get us riled up. So it’s kind of like me in real life. It was a blast.’ Hustlers are receiving rave reviews – and Oscar buzz.
