Cracks are starting to appear in the couple’s marriage as work forces them apart

This was a night of celebration. On the eve of their fifth wedding anniversary, George and Amal Clooney were seen dining with BFFs Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford at an intimate Manhattan supper club. ‘They were all in the best mood! Everyone was laughing and making toasts,’ says an onlooker. ‘George kept leaning in to kiss Amal, which seemed to make her very happy. They were so touchy-feely!’

A few days later, the couple stepped out again, this time for a date night at a gala hosted by the American Society of International Law. ‘Amal was honoured there for her hard work, and George couldn’t have looked prouder,’ adds the source. But a lot has happened in the meantime. ‘George and Amal have barely seen each other since the gala.
