BATTERED by explosive rape accusations, TV heartthrob Chris Noth is letting his marriage, reputation and career go down the drain without a fight, say sources.

“Chris seems to be resigned to sit back and see what happens,” confides an insider. “He just says, ‘The chips will fall wherever they fall.’ ”

But Noth’s wife of nine years, Tara Wilson, is taking it hard. She was spotted crying in her car in mid-January — without her wedding ring. Yet sources say Chris has no plans to fly to L.A. to make amends to the mother of his sons, Orion, 13, and 18-month-old Keats.
