Selena Gomez loves Christmas. “I’m from the South, so my family goes all out,” she said during a radio interview last December. “We have a lot of food, beautiful decorations.” She likes to give back and spread joy, too – in 2016, she made a rare public appearance visiting patients at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth in her native Texas.

This year, however, will be very different. Selena – who entered a mental health facility on the East Coast in October after being hospitalised twice over a two-week period – continues to struggle with depression and anxiety, and may still be undergoing treatment, a source reveals. The Slow Down singer, who hasn’t been photographed in public since she entered treatment in October, was spotted by a fan eating a doughnut in Hamden, Connecticut, on December 2. It’s a short drive from the exclusive Privé-Swiss treatment facility in Westbrook, where the former child star sought professional help in 2014.
