Millie, There's A Reason We Break Up With Our Exes..

Millie Mackintosh and Hugo Taylor look more in love than ever after they tied the knot recently. The couple first dated back in 2011 but split up when it was revealed on reality show Made in Chelsea that they’d both cheated on each other.

The reality stars moved on, and Millie began dating Professor Green, who she went on to marry in 2013. But just three years later, Millie and the rapper divorced, and within a few months, the reality star had reunited with old flame Hugo. Cue all the loved-up Instagram posts, enviable holidays and another flashy wedding.

Thankfully, for now at least, it looks like things have worked out perfectly for the handsome couple, but Samantha Brick, 47, warns that yo-yo dating isn’t always a good idea.

'I spent 15 years trapped in a yo-yo relationship with my ex James*. The incessant back and forth of He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, I Love Him, I Love Him Not, was spurred on by the romantic notion that we couldn’t live without each other, when in reality it was anything but that.  James and I met at college aged 17 and fell in love. But then came university. The excitement of being away from home meant I no longer needed James in my life.

Down memory lane

There was no official ending as such, we just simply stopped being a couple. It was three years later, that struggling in my final year, I found myself calling him.

We agreed we’d been foolish to let each other go and by the time I was 21 we’d moved in together in Brighton.
