Inviting Us Into Her Stunning Spanish Family Home, Social Media Queen Tells Why Victoria Beckham And Her Mother Are Her Biggest Influencers

Whether she is checking into a trendy new boutique hotel, trying out the latest Porsche, slipping into one of this season’s hottest looks, or gracing the red-carpet opening of a flagship store, Alex Rivière’s 274,000, Instagram followers are with her every step of the way.

A wildly successful social media influencer, Alex, 26, was recognised at the inaugural Influencer Awards Monaco, where she was presented with the fashion category gong by Princess Stéphanie of Monaco’s daughter, Pauline Ducruet.

“I don’t think the term “influencer” really captures my main job,” she says modestly at her family home near Barcelona, which dates back to the 17th century and sits on a mountainside overlooking the Mediterranean.

Of French ancestry but born in Barcelona, fashion-mad and business-savvy Alex describes herself as a creative director. She runs her own studio, producing content and social media strategies for a range of brands and she curates her own high-end fashion, travel and beauty website.

She’s also designed a T-shirt for the Dior Love Chain campaign, for which stars, including Natalie Portman, Robert Pattinson, Johnny Depp, Bella Hadid, Jennifer Lawrence and Charlize Theron, have participated to help the WE Charity, which partners with communities to help lift them out of poverty.

Alex has also been busy designing her own capsule collections. And, earlier this year, she teamed up with her glamorous mother, Mer, to model jewellery by Spanish brand Rabat.

“My mother is a supermum,” says Alex as the pair show us around the Catalan farmhouse her grandfather, Jaime, bought. “She’s my friend, my confidante and companion. We tell each other everything.”
