NAZI, 96, CAUGHT TRYING TO ESCAPE DEATH CAMP TRIAL

A 96-YEAR-OLD woman accused of helping murder 11,000 people at a Nazi death camp was captured while fleeing her nursing home to avoid a trial to have her face justice more than 75 years after the Holocaust.

German cops nabbed Irmgard Furchner on a Hamburg street after she’d bolted from a nursing home, grabbed a taxi to a subway station and hopped a train on the day she was to appear in court 30 miles away in Itzehoe.

Ironically, the unrepentant crone is being tried in a juvenile court because she was 18 when she started working as a secretary at the notorious Stutthof concentration camp near Gdansk, Poland, in 1943.
