Some might recognize Sarah Hoffmeister from the Fox hit TV show, 9-1-1, where she played Jamie Cohen. She can also be seen in the upcoming film, The Secret: Dare to Dream. The film, which also stars Katie Holmes as Sarah’s mother, is based on the best-selling self-help novel The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, which is all about the law of attraction. Sarah sat down with Glitter to talk about the upcoming movie, how she uses her voice for change, her love for surfing, and how to stay centered during isolation. Read on for more!

GLITTER: Where are you originally from?

SARAH: I was born and raised in Manhattan Beach, CA!

GLITTER: How long have you been acting?

SARAH: I started professionally acting at nine-years-old.

GLITTER: What can you tell us about Fox’s show 9-1-1 and your role as Jamie Cohen?

SARAH: Jamie Cohen is a young girl who just recently lost her mother. Her family goes through a difficult time with moving into their new home but the firefighters in 9-1-1 come to their rescue! The bond of their family can withstand all the hardships the world throws at them.

GLITTER: What can you tell us about your role in THE SECRET: Dare to Dream?

SARAH: Missy Wells is the eldest daughter of Miranda Wells (Katie Holmes). At the beginning of the film, we see her as an angsty teenager with many insecurities. Throughout the film, we see her develop into a loving and confident character leading her mom to change her perspective through Bray (Josh Lucas)'s help.

GLITTER: What was it like working with Katie Holmes?
