FROM SKINNY TO BUFF: He may look muscular now, but the 1.79m and 72kg hunk weighed only 55kg (see inset) three years ago. Denson says: “I was sick and tired of people calling me nicknames like bamboo stick and chopsticks, and I felt powerless, so I decided to change and do something for myself.” He adds: “I used to stutter a lot and my confidence level was really low. After I gained mass, my stuttering became a lot less noticeable. I feel a lot better about myself now.”

BLADE RUNNER

These days, Denson, who works as a graphic designer, gyms five times a week after work, lifting very heavy weights to bulk up. Every Saturday, he goes rollerblading for two hours with his friends to get his cardio workout. “I picked up the sport when I was 10. I like it as I get to free my thoughts during rollerblading, and I’m travelling three to four times faster than walking. I get to work out my glutes, butt and thighs at the same time!”

EAT ALL YOU WANT

Thanks to his high metabolism, Denson eats everything, from fast food to fried noodles for lunch. He usually has an apple and four eggs for breakfast, and a sandwich or ramen for dinner. “I have to eat a lot and then gym a lot to maintain my current weight. If I don’t, I lose weight very quickly (chuckles).”
