Current edition of the Golden Pin Design Awards attracts design pracititoners versed in artketing and curatorial services

The launch of the Integration Design Category at the Golden Pin Design Award ( GPDA) this year may have netted entries that straddle design and art. The new category focuses on professional curation, service design, and social design.

Observers says the new category captures the essence of artketing, a rising trend of employing art to meet marketing and branding goals, as well as the increasing curatorial responsibilities on the part of designers.

Projects bearing characteristics of design and art are also entered under the Communication Design and Spatial Design categories. Official communique from GPDA highlights that the projects capture the imagination of consumers in a time of fickle consumer spending around the globeÓ .
