Time is the most deceitful partner of one’s life. Stuck in the comfort of few pennies at the month end, we keep postponing our dreams believing the abundance of time we have while it keeps slipping away with each second passing by.

It’s already the fourth month of the year and as promised brandbuzz is back with a new unconventional story of a brand. This story belongs to the life of Mr. Karsen Ahir, a well-known fabric Sleepwear Brand Owner in the city named Mumbai. It’s a story of taking big risks to get bigger gains. While many focus on losing small, Mr. Ahir had a vision of making it big.

REMINISCING THE DAWN OF AN EMPIRE

One fine day in the year 2001, as I was engrossed in the lively hues of soft and satin fabric the thoughts of taking the business to the next level engulfed my mind. The idea that came as a passing thought soon turned into an obsession. Whilst there were many voices that prompted me to play it safe, it was my heart that was not ready to give up the dream without even trying.

Pondering much upon the idea, I started the groundwork to set up a night-wear manufacturing brand called ‘Sukanya’ with a capital investment of five lakhs. The name ‘Sukanya’ resonated my perception of glorifying the essence of feminity with the luxury and comfort of beautiful clothing even when no one is looking.

Having detailed knowledge about the fabrics used in night-wear and considering my love for creating pretty things, I expected it to be a smooth transition for my business. But venturing into unknown territories always comes with unprecedented surprises.
