How the pandemic changed the way students approach competitive exams

When it comes to competitive examinations, the Indian education system has been set in its ways since decades. When a young student, fresh out of clearing their matriculation examination, decides to embark on a journey to get selected in top-tier institutes of the country in the science fields, they have got a daunting task at hand. Clearing the entrance examinations for IITs, among other top Indian engineering colleges, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) - Main or getting a decent rank in the NEET for the pursuit of a career in the medical line is definitely not an easy foot, as about 1015 lakh of students take either of these examinations each year for a seats which are in fractions to the candidature. These examinations are considered to be the hardest entrance tests to crack for an undergraduate. The average success rate for a candidate to clear JEE advanced and get an opportunity to study engineering in one of the IITs is roughly 5 percent.
